Methodology

We seek to work closely with our clients in order to fully understand the positioning of each business in its market place. In seeking to recruit high calibre personnel into a company, we must assume that the employment opportunity, or the “product” that we shall take to market, will be attractive on three levels:

Industry or Sector Attractiveness

We must be sure that we are able to market the business environment in which our clients operate in a positive way. We will seek to identify any negative perceptions and how to offset these as well as identify positive perceptions to build on.

Company Attractiveness

Positive perceptions in the recruitment market place of a client business are essential for recruitment success. This is particularly important when seeking to recruit talented people from competitors operating in a defined industry sector. Potential candidates working for competitors usually know more about a client company than its managers may think!

From our initial researches we may find that target candidates have views, both good and bad, about our clients which may sometimes come as a surprise. These issues will be discussed openly and honestly with the client and strategies devised to develop these in a positive way.

The Position

Perhaps most obviously the position must be attractive in terms of salary, location etc. However, we can also advise on more subtle issues which are of crucial importance and often overlooked. For instance, the need for clear reporting lines, clear objectives and performance measurement and clear evidence of the levels of authority vested in the position.

Following through the above three points of discussion with our clients leads to a clear and detailed briefing which will help ensure success. Sometimes an appointment may have a number of stakeholders with vested interests. This is often the case with a new venture. Discussion helps remove any inconsistent viewpoints between the stakeholders which may not otherwise be identified. As a result, a harmonious understanding of the role is presented on all client fronts. Once the assignment is underway, we ensure clients are kept informed of the results of all stages in the process as outlined in the diagram below.
